The program offers a comprehensive curriculum in Chinese language. At present, there are seven half-year courses designed for developing students’ four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). To meet the needs of Chinese heritage students and students with Chinese language background, two specific skill training courses are offered: one reading course and one speaking course. The content courses in the Chinese program cover a broad range of areas including modern and contemporary Chinese fiction, Chinese women literature, Japanese-Chinese cultural relations, Chinese characters and Chinese culture, etc. The study abroad program in Harbin offers students an exciting and challenging opportunity to learn Chinese in an immersion setting. |
