In 1928, the predecessor of the present China Academy of Art the National Academy of Art was founded as the first comprehensive art academy in China on the bank of the West Lake in Hangzhou by Mr.Cai Yuanpei, a renowned Chinese educator. Since its foundation, the name and location of the Academy have been changed several times. A large number of talented artists of varied generations celebrated at home and abroad have gathered at the Academy. Among them were Lin Fengmian, Huang Binhong, Pan Tianshou, Liu Kaiqu, Wu Dayu, Yan Wenliang, Ni Yide, Li Keran, Li Kuchan, Ai Qing, Pang Xunqin, Xiao Chuanjiu, Dong Xiwen, Wang Shikuo, Chang Shuhong, Guan Liang, Huang Junbi, Wang Zhaowen, Luo Gongliu, Li Qun, Yan Han, Zhu Dequn, Wu Guanzhong, etc. They sowed and cultivated the field of art here, making the Academy one of the most prestigious art education academies in China.

Tourism College of Zhejiang, one of China’s first high vocational colleges in aspect of tourism, was approved to come into being by Zhejiang People’s Government and is on file of China’s Ministry of Education. The college, under direct supervision of Zhejiang Travel and Tourism Administration, serves as the cradle of quality tourism talents.

Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJGSU) is a public university located in Hangzhou, which is the capital city of Zhejiang Province and borders Shanghai in the east of China. The University has a student population of over 21,000 and offers forty-five bachelor degree programs, thirty-seven master degree programs and three doctor degree programs in the fields of economics, administration, science, engineering, law, literature and arts.

Since founding, the university has come to form a multi-tier and multi-form talent fostering system, incorporating undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, adult education programs and higher vocational education programs. The university is also entitled to enroll overseas students and students from HK , Macao and Taiwan.
