This school is registered with the State of New York as a non-profit organization. It is a subsidiary of Huaxia Chinese School. The objective of this school is to help the Chinese Americans in this community keep their tradition, know Chinese language and promote understanding between Chinese-American and other ethnic groups by teaching the Chinese language lessons (simplified version) and Chinese culture lessons to any persons, regardless of age, sex, color, religion, national origin or creed.

After years of growth, the school now has about 300 young children and adults taking various Chinese language and culture classes. The School Council and administrators are committed to keep students, parents and school personnel well informed about the school programs, policies and expectations. Being a part of the Chinese Community Center (CCC) of the Capital District of New York, the Chinese School works closely with other branches of the organization to develop programs serving our members and community.

ESTABLISHED in 1926, China Institute is a nonprofit, non-partisan educational and cultural institution that promotes the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of traditional and contemporary Chinese civilization, culture and heritage, and provides the cultural and historical context for understanding contemporary China. We carry out our mission through classroom teaching and seminars, art exhibitions, public programs for children and adults, teacher education and curriculum development, lectures and symposia and business programming. China Institute is represented in CLTA-GNY membership.
